ROBBERIES

Wednesday 15th December 2004
00.50hrs a 62 year-old lady had just pulled up outside her house, in Lowther Road, SW13 she got out of her car and walked up to her front door, with her keys in one hand and her bag in the other. She heard a male voice behind her say ' I only want your bag love'. The lady screamed he pushed her against the front door, snatched her bag and ran off towards Castlenau.

The male is described as: Black, 22years, 6ft tall, wearing a grey hooded top, grey bottoms and white trainers. The lady also describes him as being 'nice' other than the fact he was engaged in a robbery.

Thursday 16th December 2004
22.10hrs in Ailsa Road, Twickenham a 17 year old male student was on his way home waiting at Twickenham BR station for a train to take him to St Margaret's BR when he was joined by two other youths who made conversation with him whilst waiting for the train. They all got on the train and then all got off at St Margaret's. The student started to walk home when one of the youths he had been talking to grabbed him by the shoulder and pulled him into Ailsa Road. The white youth said ' empty your pockets', he took the money and the other youth a black boy took his mobile phone. Before the youths left they took a picture of the student with his own phone.

Youths described as: Male black 17yrs 5'10tall dark brown hair soft English accent, thin build wearing red and grey hooded top, baseball cap. One of his top front teeth was missing. Name of Patrick was used. Male white 17yrs 5'7tall short brown hair loud English voice of stocky build, wearing a grey jumper and blue jeans.

Saturday 18th December 2004 at
01.00hrs a 30yr old white male left Edwards Bar in Kew Road and approached a male who was sitting in his car, he asked if he was a mini cab, the man said 'yes'. The male asked the cab driver to take him home to Barnes. Whilst on route the man realised that he did not have any cash on him so asked the cab driver to stop at an ATM. The cabbie stopped in Mortlake or North Sheen the male could not remember exactly where. He got out of the cab and went over to the ATM but was followed by the cabbie who looked over his shoulder whilst he put in his pin number, he then noticed that the cabbie was holding a knife. He said 'give me your mobile and your card'; this was done, as the male was frightened that the cabbie would use the knife on him. The cabbie then walked back to his car, got in and drove off. The only description of the car is that it was blue. The cabbie (or not) was male black 30yrs 5'8tall short black hair, slim build wearing blue jeans and a jacket.

INDECENT ASSAULTS
Wednesday 15th December 2004
8.30am in Crown Road, Twickenham a 14 year old schoolgirl was on her way to school having caught the bus from outside the War Memorial in Old Isleworth, got off at St Margaret's and was walking the last bit along Crown Road. She was walking with a female friend when a man approached that she had not seen before, when he walked past he grabbed her and then continued to walk on. The girl turned round and noticed that the man was smiling at her. She made her way to school and informed her teacher what had happened.

Male described as white 5'9tall about 35 yrs short grey hair wearing a blue fleece, blue jeans of dirty appearance, and his clothes had paint on them.

Thursday 16th December 2004
1.40pm in North Lane, Teddington a 41 year-old female was indecently assaulted by a male who was with a group of about 5 other males. They 'bundled' into her and one made a grab at her but she managed to pull away before he got any higher than her thigh. The description of this male is very limited - white about 23yrs wearing jeans. Apparently all the males were wearing jeans. The lady does not believe that there were any witnesses to this but if anyone was in the area and saw this assault, information please.

THEFT
Tuesday 30th November 2004

Between 6pm and 9am in Teddington Park road, Teddington a garden bench was stolen; it had been secured to the gate and the wall. No suspects were seen. Have the same thieves striking again that took the stone lions? Are they opening a garden centre?

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Thursday 16th December 2004

2.45am a 59-year-old male taxi driver picked up what he thought was an ordinary fare from the Rembrandt Hotel SW7. Passengers a male and a female; he dropped the male off first opposite the Cromwell Hospital and then continued to take the female home to Molesey as she had asked. When they got to London Road in the Richmond area the female became hysterical and asked the cab driver for his cab number, he gave her his badge number, she accused him of lying as it didn't match the cab number. He then showed her his licence but she accused him of it being fake. She then said to the taxi driver that he was frightening her and she wanted to get out of the cab. The driver said that she could get out wherever she wanted but she had to pay the fare of £37 first. The female then said that she was not going to pay so the cabbie turned round to find a police station. As the driver reached the Richmond roundabout the female kicked in the window separating the driver from the passengers. He continued to drive until he found Richmond Police station, but not being a 24hour police station it was not open. The female ran off and the cabbie went to Hammersmith police station to report the incident as it was on his way home. The cabbie believes that this was a scam to avoid paying the fare. Female described as white, 5'7tall 27 years old, blond shoulder length hair. Were you the male that this cabbie dropped off first, do you know any of the females details involved in this fare evasion and criminal damage?

COMMON ASSAULT
Monday 20th December 2004
10.30am a 63-year-old driver was going about his job in the normal way, which is picking up chemical waste from chemists and other such like premises. Today he picked up a bag of waste chemicals from Moss Chemist in Hanworth Road parking his van in Powder Mill Lane, Twickenham. He walked back to the van with the bag of waste and was approached by a 25year old white male, 5'10tall dark hair. English accent, slim build wearing blue jeans and dark coat who asked him what he had in the bag 'mate'. The driver ignored him because he did not want any confrontation. The male then punched him once in the face and ran off, leaving the drive shocked at the unprovoked attack.

BURGLARY
Friday 17th December 2004
21.55hrs in Lower Mortlake Road. Richmond, the retired female occupier answered the door to a white female 30yrs 5'5tall blond peroxide ponytail wearing light beige jacket with fur collar and cuffs, thin build. She stated that her car had broken down and could she please use the phone, she also said that she had left her baby in the car! The occupier let her in and was surprised to find a male follow her in. 30yrs,white, 5'7tall, wearing dark clothing with an Irish accent. Brown spiky short hair. The male was asking to go into the kitchen; the female took the occupier's hand bag and walked out of the house. The occupier got abit suspicious and asked the male to leave. It was not until they had both left her property that she noticed her bag had been stolen.

THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE
Very nearly another laptop stolen, but thief's leave with empty case. On Monday 20th December 2004 between 18.55 and 19.20hrs a 29year old male parked his car in the car park of Boots at The Kew Retail Park. Persons unknown broke into the Blue BMW 323 by smashing the front nearside window and gaining access to the boot via the back seats: the thief thought he had got away with a lap top, but luckily it was just the case!
