Jewellery burglaries.
Another neighbour saw a black male in his mid - late 20's, with quite a thin face, short dark hair wearing a light gray anorak in and around the flats at the relevant time. Police would like to talk to the male for any information he might have to the burglary. On Saturday 27th November between 4pm and 7.15pm £3805.00 worth of jewellery and photographic equipment were stolen from Vicarage Road in Teddington. The occupier left her property secured, checking the rear patio doors as she always did before she went out, but on her return the doors were wide open. There did not appear to be any sign of forced entry, she went and got a neighbour to help her check the prems before she went in. Nothing was seen or heard by the neighbours. Property stolen was fine quality jewellery, 20 items in all, 2 18ct gold wedding bands, 1 9ct gold Russian wedding band in red/white/yellow gold, pink beaded glass bracelet and earrings, 3 gold chain necklaces 1 with lock heart attached, brushed silver bracelet and necklace, silver chain strand necklace, antique amber stone set in silver necklace, bracelet and earrings set. Solid silver bangle, purple resin bangle, silver locket, silver charm bracelet and an antique 3 strand pearl necklace. Over the weekend 27/28 November, the female occupier of a house in Godstone road, Twickenham went way and on her return she found that a rear window to the premises had been forced and the house had been ransacked. 3 items of expensive jewellery had been taken, a white gold ring with sapphire and 2 diamonds, white gold earrings with sapphires and white gold earrings with rubies. DVD player and cd's were also taken totalling £1600.00. Beware items being sold cheaply in pubs, car boots etc One

rogue workmen He then claimed that there was a split in the masonry near the front door that needed fixing and he would do it for a fair price. The lady noticed his van parked in the road and made a comment that there was no logo on it so she did not think he was from Sullivan's. But he said he did some private work. The lady decided that she did need the work doing and after 15 mins of talking about what needed to be done the male said it would cost £400. The lady said she did not have that mush cash in the house, but she could pay by cheque. He said it would cost £50 more by cheque because of the VAT charge. He offered to drive the lady to her bank so she could get the money out. He took her to the local HSBC Bank in Twickenham town centre and waited outside for her. She went into the bank and although the staff were not happy with her withdrawing that amount of money they did the transaction for her. The lady went back to the male and gave him the money. He dropped her off at the end of her road claiming that he was working nearby. The lady was left with no bill or receipt for the £400 she had just given him although he did give her the name of Perry. Checks were done with Sullivan's who stated that they had no workers by the name of Perry and their records did not show any work having been done at the ladies address in Twickenham. Did anyone see a creamy white van parked in Fullwell road around 2.15pm or parked near the HSBC bank in Twickenham? Or the two men involved, the 40 year old already described and his 20-year-old mate 5'8tall with dark brown hair who stayed in the van. On Thursday 25th November at 3.45pm 3 13year old schoolgirls were on there way home to Church Road Teddington, they had knocked on the door and were waiting to be let in when they heard a whistle from behind, they all turned round to see an 18 year old white boy 5'8tall wearing a base ball cap, navy blue fleece top with zip at the neck, grey cotton jogging bottoms and black trainers. He had short fair hair and was of broad build. He was standing on the pavement just outside the front gate and was exposing himself. He walked off towards Teddington town centre. Does anyone know this boy, is he local to Teddington? Any information on these crimes to Kathy Fenwick 0208 247 7042, email kathryn.fenwick@met.police.uk Tuesday, November 30, 2004
