in the street A group of males apparently then threatened him; he tried to run off, but was followed by the males in a red old style BMW. The victim continued on his way but was punched from behind; more punches were thrown at his head. He does not know where the suspect came from but he believes it was one of the people in the BMW as he walked back towards it. The London Ambulance Service was called and the injured man was treated and taken home. The only description available is of the suspect who hit the male, who was white 5'10tall about 28yrs wearing a red hooded top. Was anyone in the area of the bus stop, did anyone see the incident? Do you know the car? The second was on Saturday 20th November at 2310hrs in Hounslow Road, Whitton, when a 50-year-old financial consultant was on his way home having left the Admiral Nelson pub, when he came across two males arguing. He tried to calm them down but one of the males turned on him and started punching him in the head. He managed to get away and made his way home where he called police. The male is described as; Male white 5'10 25yrs short dark brown hair, blue jeans and light blue top. Does anyone know who this man is; were you the other party to the argument, can you tell police who the man was? Tuesday 16th November between 4.30pm in the afternoon and 8am in the morning the window of the public toilets in Vine Road Park, Vine Road, Barnes, was smashed and two fireworks were thrown in. She was walking across the grass area of the block when a black Alsatian dog came running towards her, she was very nervous about this as it was a dog she recognised. She turned her back on the dog because she thought it was going to jump at her, and it bit her in the leg causing a puncture wound, whilst the owner looked on and did nothing about it. ID Please On Saturday 20th November at 6.40pm a 54-year-old doctor was walking down Old Palace Lane near the White Swan pub, Richmond. She was approached by 2 males who asked for the time; she said that she did not have a watch on. One of the males then snatched her bag and then said' give me that ring' the doctor froze and the youth pulled off her ring, they then ran towards Richmond Green. Box burglars are back One of the burglaries was an attempt that was foiled by the house owner who happened to be up and awake at 1.50am having just come in from work. He heard something strange in the hall of his house in Church Road, Barnes. On going into the hall to investigate he saw an 8ft long bamboo cane poking through the letterbox trying to hook his keys off the hallway table. He grabbed the pole but it was wrenched out of his hands and pulled back through the letterbox. He opened the front door to see the backs of 2 figures running off down The Crescent. The limited descriptions of the 2 youths seen disappearing away are: both about 6ft tall one wearing dark parker jacket with hood up and gray jeans. The second was wearing blue jeans and a dark sweater. On the 18th November between 6.45pm and 8.15am in Park road Teddington whilst the occupiers were asleep a burglary happened without anyone entering the property except for a pole with a hook via the letterbox. A leather wallet and a set of 4 keys were removed from a table about 4 metres from the door. The burglars may have thought they were taking the keys to a Mercedes convertible parked outside the house but it was a neighbour's car. On Friday 22nd November at 5.50pm a 53 year old lady was walking home from work along Rosslyn Avenue, taking a short cut through woodland, when she heard footsteps behind her and saw 2 males; one male approached her from behind and she thought he was going to ask her a question. He then pulled a 12 inch knife on her and held it to her throat saying 'give me your bag'. She said take what you want but please don't hurt me, giving them the bag, and they then ran off. Only a brief description of the males: black 16yrs proportionate build, English accent. 16yr old male. Was anyone in the area at the time? Did they see what happened has anyone got a description of these youths? Any information on these crimes to Kathy Fenwick 0208 247 7042, email kathryn.fenwick@met.police.uk Tuesday, November 23, 2004
