It was a big day at Barnes Green Day Centre on Friday 17th December with the launch of the new social centre.

It all began at 10am with demonstrations of Tai Chi, the tango and exercise classes and at 12 noon the Mayor of Richmond, Cllr Pat Parsons, celebrated the official launch with local celebrity, actor Peter Bowles.

A 2.30pm there was the FiSH Neighbourhood Voluntary Care Team tea time Christmas Concert with local professional musicians Rachel Baldock, Juliet Fraser, Hilary Fisher, Kathy Steffan and others, playing festive music, accompanied by high tea.

An open evening with live Jazz and mulled wine rounded off the day from 6pm.

Everyone was welcomed along - no tickets required - though nominal donations were invited for the FiSH teatime refreshments.
