Elderly pedestrian dies as result of road accident  

Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic accident led to the death of a pedestrian involved.

The incident occurred on the 19th July 2004 at 10.25 am in Rocks Lane, Barnes. The 80 yr old female pedestrian was in collision with a White Ford Courier Van. Police attended at the time of the collision.

Next of kin are aware and the woman has been named as Mrs Betty Ramsay. Mrs Ramsay was initially taken to hospital but later discharged as she was not thought to be suffering from serious injuries at the time.

However, she was re-admitted to hospital two days ago and subsequently died on the 5th September 2004.

Witnesses are asked to contact the Collision Investigation Unit at Hampton Traffic Garage on 020 8941 9011.
